Planning and Development Documents
The existing Municipal Planning Strategy (MPS) and Land Use By-law (LUB) were updated in 2010. This municipality-wide plan is limited in scope, serving as the framework for land use policies related to the regulation of wind turbines in Clare Municipality. It also addresses locational policies related to developing new municipal roads created through the subdivision process. The review of this planning document is the focus of this project.
The Municipal Planning Strategy (MPS) contains a vision statement with goals and objectives for the District of Clare and policies that guide development by land use.
The Land Use Bylaw (LUB) implements the MPS. It includes requirements for development for each land use, standards that guide infrastructure development.
